For another festive period, Kalavryta is one of the most popular destinations and this is reflected in the occupancy rates, which have already reached 85% for the Christmas holiday.
With the fact that the upgraded Ski Center will soon open its doors, with the most likely date on December 21st, the interest of those who want to travel to the historic city of Achaia is very high and this is also reflected in the bookings. The president of the Association of Hoteliers of Kalavryta, Kostas Dafalias, speaking to “Peloponnisos”, emphasized: “Just like last year, this year too there is great interest from citizens to come to Kalavryta. Almost 20 days before, the whole area registers occupancies in its accommodations of about 85% for the three days of Christmas and about 70% for the three days of the New Year. I believe that if everything goes smoothly, we will soon have occupancies that will reach 100%.”
According to the publication, the prices for a double room range from 70 to 170 euros per night, depending on the hotel. Accommodation for a family of four will cost a little more, where the cost starts from 110 euros and in some cases exceeds 200 euros per night, depending on the room and the services offered. “Unfortunately, we cannot absorb the additional cost of energy, as we did in other years,” added Mr. Dafalias, underlining, however, that Kalavryta remains one of the most economical destinations for the holidays.
