The police had information about drug trafficking and located the suspect at the Aphidna tollgate
Police officers of the Narcotics Prosecution Sub-Directorate of the Organized Crime Directorate arrested a 30-year-old man at noon on Sunday in Afidnes, Attica, on charges of possession and trafficking of narcotics.
It was preceded by appropriate utilization of information, verifications and crossings of data, as well as the creation of a profile of the 30-year-old (profiling) and his criminal activity as a member of a wider criminal drug trafficking network was certified. According to EL.AS., the 30-year-old was spotted at the Afidna toll station on the Athens-Lamia highway, while a check that was carried out revealed four improvised packages, which contained heroin, in a specially designed crypt, inside his vehicle, with a total weight 2 kilograms and one gram.
In addition, the amount of 40 euros, a mobile phone, and the vehicle were confiscated. The arrested person was taken to the competent prosecuting authority.
