Other taxi drivers were also injured – fortunately slightly – while the KTEL driver was not hurt
A traffic accident occurred on Thursday afternoon in Chalkida, when a KTEL bus crashed into the taxi rank near the Evripos bridge.
Specifically, according to information cited by the evima.gr, after 16:00 a KTEL city bus ran off course, as a result of which it crashed into the taxis and the drivers inside were injured. The bus was driven by a woman and had started from its starting point at the premises of the Interurban KTEL. Until now, the cause of the accident and how and why the driver lost control and went off the road have not been known.
There were injuries from the collision, with one of them being transferred to the General Hospital of Chalkida. The same information states that fortunately the woman driving the bus was not injured in the collision.
The cause of the traffic accident is being investigated by the Traffic Police of Chalkida, which was at the scene from the first moment.
