“We will work with President Trump on a long-term solution to keep TikTok in the US”
The TikTok announced that it is working to restore access to its platform in the United States, hours after suspending its operation to comply with a law passed in Congress.
In a message published on X, the company thanks Donald Trump for the assurance to the providers that they will not be subject to the severe penalties provided by law.

The law provides very heavy fines for these technical service providers, up to 5,000 per user for app stores.
Earlier on Sunday, Donald Trump pledged to issue once he takes office presidential order suspending the law banning TikTok in the United States.
The 2024 law allows for a 90-day delay to allow time for a buyer to be found, as an alternative offered to parent company China’s ByteDance to avoid a ban.
“We will work with President Trump on a long-term solution to keep TikTok in the United States” the company explained.
Trump unveiled a framework for solving the problem arising from the control of TikTok in the United States by Chinese interests.
“I would like to see a joint venture that is 50% American-owned,” Trump said.
