Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg will participate as executive producers
THE Javier Bardem And Amy Adams join forces in a new, promising production. This is “Cape Fear”, a series of Apple TV+that revives the story of the legendary films of 1962 and 1991, bringing new performances to the forefront and a more contemporary look.
According to Variety, “Cape Fear”, which received the green light from Apple in November, It will consist of 10 episodes.
It will be based both on John D. McDonald’s novel “The Executioners”, which inspired the 1962 film with Gregory Peck and Robert Mitsam as well as the 1991 remake, directed by Martin Scorsese and Robert Deal in the lead roles.
The official logo of the series states: “A storm comes for happy lawyers Anna (‘Adams) and Tom Bowden, when Max Cady (Bardem), a notorious killer from their past, gets out of prison.”
It is worth noting that Adams has received six Oscar nominations for her roles in “Vice”, “American Hustle”, “The Master”, “The Fighter”, “Doubt” and “Junebug”.
She has starred in the science fiction film “Arrival” and “Julie and Julia” played by a woman inspired by Julia Chaild’s life and cooking and launches a blog for her recipes.
While she has also participated in television productions, such as the limited series of HBO “Sharp Objects” which gave her an Emmy nomination.
