An alarm was sounded at the Port Authorities of Kavala and Thassos
The mobilization of the Port Authorities of Kavala and Thassos was caused by the incident of a missing 82-year-old fisherman, who had gone fishing with his boat in the sea area of Perijalos of Kavala and had been missing ever since.
Two patrol boats of the Coast Guard and private vehicles rushed to the scene, while the fisherman was located in good health by the tanker “GERANI”. The offshore facility support ship “Energrean Wave” picked up the 82-year-old and transported him to the port of Kavala.
From there he was transported by EKAV ambulance to the Kavala hospital for precautionary reasons, while he also towed his boat to land.
