“It doesn’t matter if I got married if I’m gay or not”
The director and actor, Andreas Georgiou spoke on Phidias Panagiotou’s online show on YouTube. The artist gave a different interview to the Cypriot MEP and TikToker/YouTuber, answering among other things the rumors surrounding his sexuality.
“It doesn’t matter if I’m married or not (gay). The fact that it’s a label in the first place bothers me. Whether it’s γ@μιέμ@ι or not is none of your business. And it doesn’t concern anyone. I found it very strange that someone would make a video and talk about such personal issues for a person they don’t know and talk as if they know me. It was like she slept with me and she knows. So I sent him a message and he actually downloaded it”, says Andreas Georgiou about a well-known YouTuber who years ago had referred to the actor’s sexuality.
In fact, Phidias Panagiotou did not hesitate to insist on the matter and ask him if all this has some basis, with the director answering with humor: “Do you want to try to do something between us? It will get many views”.
Following the conversation, the Cypriot MEP openly asked him if he has had sexual intercourse with men.
“I will answer you diplomatically, because I don’t want to tell you either yes or no. And the reason is so that it does not appear that I am saying something either to provoke or to influence. I will tell you, however, that I think that in our bed, there are no rules”, said initially Andreas Georgiou.
“We might both fall in love and live it up. There is no rule that says it is forbidden. There is only the social side that says men only go with women and women only go with men. But around us we see that there are also gay couples. Women marry women and men marry men, they start a family. So it is something that exists around us. So we could have something together, now of course I’m married so I wouldn’t do anything”, concluded Andreas Georgiou in his answer.
