The list of Old European cities for foodies according to the Dutch lifestyle magazine Dailybase
Athens is on the list of the 10 best cities in Europe for food lovers, according to a new survey by the Dutch lifestyle magazine Dailybase, based on data from Tripadvisor.
The survey, which recorded the number of “five-star” reviews for restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs in Europe’s major tourist cities, highlighted Athens in 5th place in the relevant ranking with 1,403 five-star reviews on Tripadvisor, as reported by tornosnews.gr .
The leading European city for culinary tourism was London (2,906), followed by Paris (2,898), Barcelona (1,475), Rome (1,407), Athens (1,403), Madrid (1,395), Lisbon (1,177), Berlin (1,074), Prague (1,015) and Milan (814).
The survey, which evaluated a total of 193 European cities with the above criteria, based on Tripadvisor data, states that Athens is famous for its souvlaki and moussaka and can satisfy all culinary preferences.
