What will the new charges be?
Bank commissions are now reduced in ATM, following the decision issued by the Competition Commission. It is recalled that the decision states that banks will have to reduce DAF fees (interbank transactions) from the New Year of 2024.
This is about charge for each ATM cash withdrawal transaction using cards issued by other institutions.
In detail, the new charges will be as follows:
- It will be at Piraeus Bank 2 euros from 3 euros
- It will be at the National Bank 1.90 euros from 2.60 euros
- It will be at Alpha Bank 1.80 euros from 2.50 euros
- It will be at Eurobank 1.80 euros from 2.50 euros
- It will be at Attica Bank 1.50 euros from 2 euros.
According to the same decision, these charges they should be stable for a period of 3 years and there is a review clause by the Competition Commission for 2 additional years. If the obligees do not comply, then they will be fined again.
