The journalist revealed the background of her departure from Mega
Baya Antonopoulou gave a revealing interview to “Happy Day” and Tina Messaropoulou. The journalist referred to her background of her departure – which dropped like a bomb – from Mega after 4 years, with her explaining exactly what happened.
“I actually resigned from the station because there was an informal feud with news management that I didn’t cause. I tried to be a good professional, formal and do what the station asked me to do. However, this was probably not enough. I discussed with Stamatis Malelis since the elections that I will do a summer show.
While Anthis and Jordan were to be replaced one week before they returned, I was not mentioned anywhere in the press release. I asked the press office and he referred me to Stamatis Malelis. And Stamatis Malelis did not answer my phone. Maybe it was right to leave but I didn’t want to hang the station.
So I decided it wasn’t right to leave and hang up the station. I posted on Instagram and that’s how they found out that I will present the show with Nikitas Koronakis. I wanted this show to end and then quit. I had made up my mind since then.
The management asked me to stay until we could see what I could do at the station. Nothing was found that satisfied me either, so I resigned and to their credit and I thank the management very much, I was given compensation. I have no problem with the channel. For four years I ate bread from there. I was given opportunities, but unfortunately there were people who didn’t want me to take advantage of those opportunities and I really don’t understand the reason,” admitted Baya Antonopoulou.
“It’s the second time I’ve experienced it, the first was with “Good Morning Greece”. I said not to react so as not to look bad,” she said and added that she would not do it again Survivor Panorama if he came back
