It’s not even December and already some of the country’s top winter destinations are already sold out for the Christmas holidays.
According to the MEGA report, it is difficult for anyone to find a good price in December, given that there is a significant increase in prices compared to last year. “Our prices this year have increased by around 10%-15%. The double room starts from 70-75 euros per night with breakfast and we go up depending on the category of the hotel”, said the president of Evrytania Hoteliers, Sofia Flega.
To spend Christmas in Arachova, a couple will pay 1,244 euros for three nights with breakfast, while a family of four will have to pay 1,400 euros for the same accommodation, if they manage to find it in time. For a large group of 10 people in a chalet in Arachova, the price rises to 4,700 euros.
In Metsovo for a couple there is only one availability for three nights during the Christmas period at the price of 1,000 euros, including breakfast. In the popular destinations and Trikala in Corinth, where a couple will pay for three nights in accommodation 1,200 euros including breakfast and a family with two children 1,395 euros.
