It was visited by about 3 million people
Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang Province in northeastern China also known as the “snow city”, attracted about 3.05 million touristswith revenues of 5.91 billion yuan (€760 million) during this year’s three-day New Year holiday.
Both the number of tourists and tourism revenues exceeded the figures recorded in 2019, at historical record levels.
Data from the city’s Ministry of Commerce recorded a significant increase of 129.4% in the tourist hospitality sector, as well as the preparation of ready meals during the same festive period.
