Specifically, as noted, “today and around 7:30 am, the former Prime Minister Kostas Simitis was taken to the Emergency Department of our Hospital, by EKAB ambulance, unconscious. A resuscitation attempt was made but unfortunately it was fruitless and he was pronounced dead. The administration and staff of our Hospital express our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.”
