“As long as we discover ourselves, we also discover others and we are always concerned with relationships”
In the show “Let’s go Danae” she gave an interview Dimitra Papadopoulou. The beloved creator spoke from the heart about the difficult period she was going through when she was writing the theatrical comedy “Grandpa is under pressure”.
“In 1997 I was in a difficult phase of my life personally, relationally and existentially. But relationally I was very confused, I was having a hard time. I was with Vangelis Levidas, God bless him, we had constant setbacks and my relationship was a mess. Nevertheless, when I entered my own world, I wrote”, Dimitra Papadopoulou said and continued:
“The world has too much toxin on its own, especially lately when soap operas are competing with the news for who will say the most horrific, horror is everywhere. I really want to not get upset with the writing in the first place, To get into the trick of sitting down and writing something sick, you’ll get upset yourself out of hand! Fiction and news are far more lies than reality, which is more pleasant.”
In closing, he pointed out: “While we are discovering ourselves, we are also discovering others. We are always concerned with relationships. How concerned I am with gomens and to what degree, let people take my book and read it.’
