Investigations are ongoing both to find the missing person and for new evidence from mobile phone fingerprints
Mystery still surrounds the disappearance of 31-year-old Babis Koutsikos in Messolonghi, with the authorities’ investigations continuing in all directions.
The authorities are “combing” the area where the 31-year-old left his last mark and are focusing on the movements of the 51-year-old butcher, who is said to be the last person to see the missing man alive, since as he claimed, he took him from his house that night at TEI Messolonghi, to meet an unknown man.
According to what the police editor of the “Ta Nea” and “To Vima” newspapers, Vassilis Lambropoulos, revealed while speaking on the Live News show, the “key” in the investigation by the authorities is a recording at 20:40 from a camera on Ionia Odos, where it can be seen the 51-year-old’s car moving on the old national road. However, despite the fact that it has been recorded by this particular camera, it is not detected by a security camera from a gas station located a little further down. Thus, the police assume that the butcher has turned earlier.
It is noted that the investigations have been extended to the lagoon of Messolonghi and the mountainous Nafpaktia. From the investigation it has emerged that no traces of blood were found in the passenger seat of the butcher’s car. However, the Authorities have not made it clear if he was alone in the car or in the videos available to them from the cameras, there appears to be a passenger in the car.
The investigation by the forensic laboratories continues, in order to establish from the trace of his mobile phone which route they have followed.
