Beneficiaries and grant amounts
Over 2,000 applications were submitted, over a period of two days, for the new innovative “business grant program for the employment of unemployed people aged 25 to 45” of the Public Employment Service (DOUBLE), which aims to train 10,000 unemployed people and create 7,500 new ones jobs full time.
Businesses that will employ unemployed people for six months in a new job will receive a grant of up to 100% of the total cost (salary and contributions), with a maximum of 6,132 euros. Businesses interested in participating can submit their application exclusively online or through the DYPA e-services platform (dypa.gov.gr) or through gov.gr at the following link: https://www.gov.gr/ipiresies/epikheirematike-drasterioteta/apaskholese-prosopikou/summetokhe-epikheireseon-ergodoton-se-programmata-katartises-anergon.
After submitting the application, DYPA’s employment advisors will indicate to the company candidates with the required qualifications stated by the company. The company will then pre-select the beneficiary, who will attend an 80-hour fast-paced distance training program in green or digital skills of their choice.
After the completion of the training, the company will proceed to hire the unemployed person.
The total budget of the employment program amounts to 41,331,600 euros and is financed by the Recovery and Resilience Fund.
