The total cost of aid for February is EUR 19.6 million
At January level, subsidies in electricity accounts are maintained this month and are formed, for domestic consumption with floating invoices, in 1.5 minutes per kilowatt -hour or 3.5 minutes for the beneficiaries of the social invoice.
Specifically, as announced by the Ministry of the Environment and Energy, the aid for electricity on home invoices and all the main and non -main residence benefits, without income criteria and regardless of provider, are as follows:
- For monthly consumption up to 500 kWh, the aid is 15 euros/MWh or 1.5 minutes/kWh. This category occupies 90% of households in Greece.
It is noted that the aid relate to consumers who are affiliated with floating electricity invoices.
- In households integrated into the Social Housing Invoice (CTO), the aid amounts to 35 euros/MWh or 3.5 minutes/kWh for the total consumption.
The total cost of aid for February is up to 19.6 million euros.
It is noted by the RIS that the average of the ‘green invoice»For the three largest suppliers in a market share in low voltage (over 80% of domestic consumption), including February subsidy, It amounts to 140.6 euros/MWh or 14.06 minutes/kWh and is maintained at the level of two previous months.
It is also emphasized that the average wholesale, pan -European, in the past four months is increasing. In October 2024 the average wholesale price in the EU stood at € 82.74/MWh, in November 2024 at 112.18 euros/MWh, in December 2024 at 107.61 euros/MWh and in January 2025 in 112, 03 euros/MWh. As for the current month, the average wholesale price in the EU is so far stood at 127.17 euros/MWh. Therefore, the RIS stresses, despite, the increases observed in the wholesale electricity markets of the EU, domestic retail prices are maintained, at a constant level, for consumers.
