The schedule for October
The resumption of the free guided tours of the Culture, Sports and Youth Organization (OPANDA) was announced by the Municipality of Athens. From the weekend of October 12-13, guided tours will be held in collaboration with the Association of Certified Guides, inviting residents and visitors to get to know the rich history and emblematic spots of Athens better. At the same time, as part of the anniversary activities “1974 & 1944: Athens celebrates its freedom”, two special guided tours will be held in Pagrati and in the center of Athens.
“I am very happy to see that the free guided tours that we started in the spring were loved by the Athenians and are returning with even greater demand”, said the mayor Haris Doukas and added: “For me, it is important that every resident of this city has the opportunity to get to know the richness of our history and culture up close. I want Athens to be a lively city, open to all and sundry. We respect the past, we look to the future.”
To participate in the free guided tours, reservations are made through the online platform avxenagiseis.gr. The entrance ticket to the museums and archaeological sites is charged to the participants of the tour.
