Oscar nominee William H. William H. Macy joins forces with Thomas Jane and Armie Hammer for the new western “Frontier Crucible”. Filming has already begun in Monument Valley and Prescott, Arizona.
The film is based on the novel published by Harry Whittington in 1961 and is set in the Arizona Territory in the 1870s. It follows “an ex-military man with a tragic past who is forced to ally himself with three criminals, a beautiful woman and her injured husband in his attempt to survive the difficult conditions prevailing in the Wild West”.
The cast is completed by Myles Clohessy, Eli Brown, Eddie Spears, Zane Holtz, Ryan Masson and Australian newcomer Mary Stickley.
The direction is signed by Travis Mills (Travis Mills) with director of photography Maxime Alexandre (Maxime Alexandre). The production has been undertaken by the director together with David Guglielmo (David Guglielmo) and Lillian Campbell (Lillian Campbell), it was noted in APE BEE.
According to Deadline, “Frontier Crucible” marks Hammer’s return to acting after the sexual abuse allegations against him.
