The host scolded the performer for saying she yawned at Eurovision because she liked it and wondered why the media played it up
Giorgos Liagas expressed his disappointment towards Marina Satti, after the recent online interview the singer gave to Diesi in Concert and talked about the infamous yawn at Eurovision and her much-discussed statement in Istanbul.
“Interesting and revealing interview. Until now I have been very supportive of her, even when she said what she said in Istanbul that “I like your culture, your history and I want to know you better”. I had not judged her negatively” Giorgos Liagas initially said and continued: “What she is doing today is a bigger foul. The woman did well and yawned. Her right and she did it and she doesn’t take it back and says now that’s how I felt and yawned. He says maybe I shouldn’t have, but that’s okay, I did well and yawned and I’m not taking it back. Her magic. We chose her, let’s bathe her.”
“For me, the provocative thing he says today is the following: That I did it, because I like it, but I don’t understand why you played it in the media. So, it’s not my fault that I did it, but the TV and social media that played it. I liked it and did it. Okay baby, I represented a country too and that’s okay and I’m not taking it back. Why did the Media play it and cut the specific part? So, I’m not the bad guy but the Media. The other one goes from outside and says bad things about Mesa, Liagas, social media, but the good Ms. Satti did it and she doesn’t take it back and it’s not her fault but the media that played it up. Nice rationale. She disappointed me with her statement,” said the presenter.
“I said about the baroufa she said in Istanbul, that it doesn’t matter and an artist says good things about his audience and I justified her. But now it cannot be anyone’s fault who commits an act” Giorgos Liagas said at the end.
