Thessalonians defeated Aegaleo 3-0
With goals from Kamara, Soretire and Murg o PAOKwho were left with 10 players due to the suspension of Michaelidis, defeated Aegaleo 3-0 away from home in the first match for the round of 16 Greek Cupturning the Toumba rematch into a standard procedure.
Logic said that the “black and white” would take control of the match from the start and that’s exactly what happened, aiming for the quick goal that would simplify things. In a very bad pitch, the northern doubleheader had the initiative of the movements and from the 14th minute had the lead with Kamara’s goal, with a close header, after Zivkovic’s crossbar in a free kick (0-1).
Razvan Lucescu’s side were in complete control of the game, not feeling the slightest threat from the hosts, they kept playing with the aim of the second goal and finally got it in the 39th minute when Živkovic passed to Chalov and he to Soretire, who from close range he scored the 0-2 scoring his first goal in the PAOK jersey.
The game, as everyone realizes, had already been decided, despite all this the “black and white” entered strongly in the second half and in the 54th minute they made it 0-3 with Murg’s shot inside the area.
Everything was easy, everything was going well, in short, for the Thessalonians, but in the 61′, bad news came and had to do with the expulsion of Michaelidis, who overthrew Dritsa who was leaving behind the defense and was preparing to enter the region.
Lucescu’s team was therefore forced to continue and finish the match with 10 men, a fact that did not affect them in any way, with 0-3 remaining until the end and Toumba’s rematch being standard procedure.
