The country is expected to “paralyze” the 24 -hour strike that has declared trade unions, federations and workers’ unions to participate in the rallies
The country will be on a strike on Friday, February 28, on the occasion of the sad anniversary of the two years from the Railway accident in Tempe with 57 dead.
Trade unions, federations, associations, associations and bodies have announced that they will take part in Friday’s 24 -hour nationwide strike, participating in memory actions. GSEE calls on Palaean participation in peaceful rallies in every part of the country, indicated by the Association of Relative victims of Tempi 2023, while ADEDY calls on federations and all workers to “fight for the success of the strike”.
Among others, a call for participation in strike and rallies are addressed by law firms, pharmaceuticals, medical, student, student and other clubs. According to related announcements, theaters and other cultural sites, nightclubs, catering and more will remain closed. Trade clubs across the country are calling on their members to participate in the mobilizations, either by strikes or a work stoppage on Friday.
The Municipality of Athens, respecting the anniversary of the Tempe tragedy, informs the citizens that on Friday, February 28th, cultural and housed sports will not operate, while the Nursery Schools of the Athens Municipal Nursery will close at 11.00 am.
The Board of Directors of the DOE It invites primary education teachers to massive and dynamic participation in the ecclesiastical 24 -hour strike. And the Board of Directors of OLME invites secondary education teachers to mass and dynamic participation.
The Attica Taxi Trade Union has decided to take part in the 24 -hour strike. As stated in the announcement, the SATA Board of Directors “as a minimum tribute to the memory of 57 people”, decided a 24 -hour strike from 06.00am. On Friday, February 28th to 6.00 am on Saturday 1 March. The Pan -Hellenic Federation of Taxi Owners (POIATA) has announced a three -hour work stoppage from 10:00 to 13:00.
Bus and trolley workers also decided to join the 24 -hour strike. The OASA Workers ‘Union and the ILPAP Workers’ Association require-judgment “no more Tempi, public urban transport, safe, modern, quality” and invite their members to rally in the Constitution.
From 9:00 in the morning to 17:00 there will be routes to the fixed track (metro, electric, tram) on Friday. In their joint announcement, STASY workers’ unions point out that they have decided to take a 24 -hour strike, but the subway, electric railway and tram will be circulating from 9:00 am. Until 17:00, responding to the wish of the Association of “Tesmen’s Wounded Tempe Coalition 28/02/2023”.
Due to a 24 -hour strike on Friday, Friday, February 28, 2025, no routes will take place across the rail network, according to a Hellenic Train briefing.

- Humanitarian aid flights.
- Rescue and rescue aircraft flights
Aeagean and Olympic Air inform the passenger public that they are obliged to cancel and amendments to all scheduled internal and foreign network flights. Specifically, on Friday, February 28, 2025, all scheduled flights of the domestic and foreign network are canceled, except for specific amended.
Sky Express is proceeding with cancellations of all its scheduled flights on both the domestic and foreign network, due to the participation of the Hellenic Air Traffic Union (EYEKE) in the 24 -hour general strike. In addition, the company, always aiming to better serve and facilitate the passenger public, has made additional flights to the domestic network and Larnaca on the days before and after February 28th.
