Jason Momoa is returning to the DC Universe, only his reign as ‘Aquaman’ is over and he will instead be playing the anti-hero ‘Lobo’ in ‘Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow’.
The new superhero film, starring Millie Alcock, will be the second film in the reboot of the DC universe by James Gunn and Peter Safran after the highly anticipated “Superman” with David Korenswet. Ana Nogueira wrote the screenplay based on the comic of the same name by Tom King and Bilquis Evely.
The famous star confirmed the news in an Instagram post and shared a clip from an earlier interview with Fandango. On the occasion of the ‘Aquaman 2’ tour, he had mentioned his love for the character. “So Lobo was…I collect comics and I don’t do it that often anymore, but he’s always been my favorite and I’ve always wanted to play Lobo, because he’s the perfect role,” he said in the interview.
“Listen! If they call me and ask me to play him, sure yes. I haven’t received that call so I don’t want to spread fake news, but if they call and ask me to play him or audition, I’m ready,” the star wrote, accompanying the post with the caption: “They called.”
