“My father always said that when we leave, we continue to live through the people we leave behind”
Both the journalistic world and his loved ones were saddened by the news that Mr Kostas Hardavellas he passed away defeated by cancer. A few hours after his funeral, on Thursday night, the late journalist’s son shared some thoughts with his online friends.
Thus, through his personal Instagram account, Konstantinos Hardavellas posted a picture next to his beloved father which he accompanied with the following text. “I haven’t had time to answer phone calls and messages, but thank you all for your condolences. My father always said that when we leave, we continue to live through the people we leave behind.”
“The last time we spoke, he had lost his speech, we now communicated in the way we both loved, writing on a page to each other. The last thing he said to me is “don’t be sad, we will grow up together”. I knew what he meant and he knew it too, we didn’t have to say anything else.”
“So I’m not saying goodbye or bon voyage, because I know a piece of you will always be here with me. We will grow up together as you said until one day we meet again behind someone else’s eyes” concludes Konstantinos Hardavellas in this touching post on social media.
