“Physically I haven’t recovered yet, allergic shock is something that causes the body to collapse and of course you are in serious danger”
Maria Bakodimou spoke emotionally about the recent and very serious adventure she went through with her health on the “Studio 4” show.
“Physically I haven’t recovered yet. Allergic shock is something that causes the body to collapse and of course you are in serious danger. But psychologically it has thrown me down, but it could be post-traumatic stress, because you leave and come back. It was very serious. I went to do an exam and I had to get drunk. When they gave me the antibiotic, I collapsed! Now I’m starting to look for it to see what it was, because three weeks must pass and I recovered after 31 hours in the intensive care unit,” Maria Bakodimou initially said.
The presenter added: “I had the feeling that things are not good at all, because I suffered. My son came after some hours to the hospital, he was shocked. My other son who doesn’t live in Greece, was in the office and went crazy, he didn’t know what to do, come or stay there. When I came to, I was told by the girls, who were assistants in the operating room, that “you left and came back”. I felt that I was getting lost and my anxiety was not to leave. On the other hand, I was suffering a lot physically and I was saying that something must be done or I should stop suffering…”.
I was asked by Nancy Zampetoglou “how is this experience of leaving, but I have to stay”, Maria Bakodimou answered: “I don’t want to discuss it, it is very difficult”.
