An all -material interview gave the Mark Seferlisthis week, in “Well” magazine. Among other things, the popular artist referred to the fire he occasionally accepted for his artistic journey as well as the similarity that some observe to him with Thanasis Vengo.
On the stage you give your soul, it bothers you when after so many years you receive hits below the waist?
Only under the waist they hit me, but it doesn’t bother me, because if after so many years they still deal with me, it means. If I were not concerned, they would have stopped dealing with me, as they do not deal with many others. That they are dealing with me, something means.
Exams in this area after 35 years I don’t give, I have given it, I have gone well, the result justifies me, so I have no reason to disturb. Certainly when they all deal with you is positive. Everyone on my way says “Don’t listen to anyone, we’re with you.” I tell them I don’t hear. The world really is being held because they see the unjust war I accept and are with me, because it has linked me with something very positive, laughter.
Is you calling you the new Thanassis Vengo of our time something you like?
It’s honorable but I don’t think there is a comparison. One was the Bengos and generally I don’t like not only for me. Each of us is unique, any copy or simulation does not honor the one for which it is done. It may be because I am immaculate and I run to be considered like Bengo, but other things he and others did. It is my pleasure to put me in this category, but I think there is no comparison.
