Manhunt from Magnesia to the border with Albania – They were members of a criminal ring of paid killers
The Police have launched a manhunt to locate and arrest the two Albanian thugs who escaped from the Kassavetia Rural Prisons on the evening of Thursday, January 2.
The two 41-year-olds named Lefteris and Romeo have been convicted and served 20 years each for a number of serious crimes, including robbery, attempted murder, arson and being part of a criminal organization that undertook contract killings. Despite their criminal history, the two men had been held since 2019 in the Rural Prisons, in an unfenced area, due to good behavior they had allegedly shown, giving them more freedom and ultimately facilitating their escape.
The two men remain missing with the Greek Police mobilizing from the first moment to locate them, given that they are considered extremely dangerous due to their criminal past. Special forces and police detection teams are looking for them, having paid special attention to the border with Albania, in case they try to escape to their homeland.
