“If I had breast cancer I would have no problem saying it publicly, making myself a flag to encourage women”
After a long time she gave an interview Natasha Pazaitis, who spoke on the show Happy Day and Stamatina Tsimtsili, on the occasion of the world day of prevention against breast cancer. The wife of the former prime minister, Costas Karamanlis. she talked about the driving force that led her to medicine, the stories with her patients that shocked her and of course about prevention.
Regarding Natasa Karamanlis who wrote years ago about her adventure with breast cancer, Natasa PazaIti clarifies that it is not about her, but she was a synonym. In fact, she says characteristically: “If I was suffering from breast cancer, I would have no problem saying it publicly, making myself a flag to encourage women, to understand that it is an adventure that passes.”
About her choice not to give frequent interviews and to stay away from the Media, Natasa Pazaiti said: “It is not a path of silence. I communicate with the world, I have my own website, I am dedicated to my science. Also, I communicate through social media always in relation to my science, I am not interested in anything else. I do a lot of informative speaking engagements. I don’t need publicity in the part of my personal life.”
“The most difficult period was the period of specialization when my children were small. Then I lost moments and I feel bad about it. I remember always being asked if I was going to come home, because during residency I was pastoring at least twice a week, so I was away from home a lot. I think it was attributed to me for many years. Now that they are older, things have changed. They remember all the sacrifices I have made in relation to my work and admire it. I am a good example for them and they have forgiven me,” Natasha Pazaiti confessed.
