A new security incident occurred on October 9 on the railway, when its train Suburban entered a Metro line in Doukissas Placentias.
The managing director of OSE Panagiotis Terezakis confirmed through SKAI 100.3 the incident published today Thursday by the “Newspaper of the Editors”.
He said that the traffic controller made a mistake, and that’s why he was punished, while he also blamed the driver of Hellenic Train who violated two traffic lights.
However, he clarified that the claims of the other side will also be investigated, which state that the train driver tried to contact the Acharnon Railway Center, but without receiving a response.
Mr. Terezakis pointed out that the safety valves worked in the incident.

Hellenic Train announces that it is investigating the causes of the incident, which occurred on Wednesday, October 9, in which a Suburban train violated the entry signs on the METRO line at Dukissis Placentias station.
The investigation is being carried out in cooperation with the competent authorities, while at the same time the disciplinary procedure has been activated for the attribution of responsibilities. The staff involved in the incident have been suspended.
