“For me the priority was and are my children”
Interviewed the Olga Kefalogiannis In the Espresso Weekend and journalist Vivian Benekou. Among other things, the Minister of Tourism referred to her personal life and the new reality After divorce by her ex -husband, Mino Matsa.
How are you on a personal level after divorce?
Divorce is a difficult, painful but also liberating process when it is respectful of yourself and the people you love. It is not a failure, it is a reminder that we all deserve to live with truth. For me the priority was and are my children. Their protection, their stability, their peace, their love. I am good, not because everything is easy, but because I treat them with awareness and honesty.
As a woman did you feel when you learned what was going on in your marriage? Was there anger? Cry; Self -criticism?
I lived all the stages. Pain, frustration, sadness. And this is necessary to move forward. But deeper of all there was the need to protect my self -esteem. It is not easy for a woman to accept that something is over and it is even harder to make the decision to find the forces to get up and move on.
