Most are anonymous
More than 30 complaints about tax and customs violations but also for corruption of its employees AADE submitted on a daily basis by citizens to the new platform of the Independent Public Revenue Authority.
According to the data, most complaints are anonymous and concern tax violations. Specifically, over a period of 60 days, a total of 2,075 complaints were submitted, of which 394 were named and 1,681 were anonymous.
Out of all the complaints:
- 1,807 concern tax violations of businesses and professionals
- 72 for customs violations committed by businesses and
- 196 on matters of integrity of the officials who carry out the audits.
It is noted that through the “Citizen Complaints” platform, the complainant, either named or anonymous, is given the opportunity to provide information, choosing one or more of the following thematic categories:
- Corruption – integrity violations
- Tax violations
- Customs violations.
Complaints submitted through the complaints/information application are channeled systematically and automatically; depending on their subject and content, to the competent structures for further investigation or control as the case may be.
The digital platform for “Citizen Complaints” is available on the myAADE digital portal (myaade.gov.gr) in the Applications/Popular Applications/Citizen Complaints path and enables interested parties to automatically submit their complaints and information, anonymously or anonymously, by following these steps:
1.You are connecting to the digital portal aade.gr and select Citizen Complaints. Then select Named complaint and in the box that appears, enter the Taxisnet codes.
2.You select New Named Complaint and then, in the Complaint Description step, you select the Tax Violations Category and in the Subcategory field at least one tax violation.
3.Fill in the required fields:
- Complaint Content
- Method of Finding
- Time Determination
4.Then select Next and one of the following complainant types:
- Individual (non-commercial)
- Business/Entity (Natural or Legal Persons)
- Event Location
5.Fill in the mandatory fields marked with an asterisk and any other information you have available.
6.It is possible to add more complainants for the same case.
7.In the Event Location step, fill in the following mandatory fields:
- Regional unity
- Municipality – City or village Event and any other information you have available.
8.In the Complaint Preview step, the details you entered are displayed.
9.Finally select Submit where the message: SUCCESSFUL REGISTRATION appears, with the protocol number of the complaint, the date and time.
The same procedure is followed for submitting a Customs complaint, with the only difference that in the Complaint Description step, in the Category field, you select Customs violations.
