“If I had been tested 2-3 years earlier, maybe a milder treatment would be needed now,” the government spokesman said.
A guest on “The 2Night Show” at midnight on Tuesday 23/1 was Mr Pavlos Marinakis. The government representative opened his papers to Grigoris Arnautoglou, talking about his involvement in politics, while he confesses his personal adventure with his health.
“Crohn’s disease is an inflammatory bowel disease, a serious, autoimmune disease. Where I can say two things about it, for me it is important. It’s one of those things that changes your life. It is 99 percent created by stress, it has been inside you for yearsPavlos Marinakis initially reported.
“The story begins many years ago, the diagnosis was made when I was Secretary of New Democracy, about 2 years ago. My wife has coronavirus and while I’m testing negative I’ve had a fever every afternoon“, the government representative then narrates.
“We have started the tours, I come home in the evening with a fever of 37.5, it was raining in the evening. Obviously I had to start other tests, blood, x-ray, magnetic, with the fear that it was something else, some kind of malignancy”, continues Pavlos Marinakis in his description.
“I did the endoscopy, the results come out, I go to the doctor’s office and he tells me I have Crohn’s Disease. I tell him: perfect. I was almost glad.
The doctor lost it. He tells me: it’s something serious, you’ve taken it too easy, you’re learning to live with it. I asked him one question: am I going to die? He tells me: no but you will have to adjust your life“, the government representative tells Grigoris Arnautoglou.
“At times I underestimated symptoms and was afraid to take tests. If I had been tested 2, 3 or 5 years earlier, maybe a milder treatment would be needed now. The important thing is that the treatment is going well, I owe a lot to the doctors and to my wife for the support”, confesses Pavlos Marinakis in closing.
