“What we call the traditional family pattern is not always used in life as a compass but also as an alibi”
A discussion on the bill regarding adoption by same-sex couples was held on the panel of the show “Today” by Petros Tatsopoulos and Anna Karamanli.
The well-known author and the member of parliament of New Democracy expressed their views on the subject, which has recently monopolized the interest of the political debate.
“These days we have two huge criminal cases that have shocked public opinion, an alleged pimp and an alleged murderer. What does this mean? That what we call the traditional family pattern is not always used in life as a compass but also as an alibiPetros Tatsopoulos initially reported.
“This effectively nullifies the effectiveness of the standard. These cases are not one and two. Heterosexuals commit femicide“, emphasized the well-known author, with the two presenters asking for clarifications and interrupting him.
“Aki, if I don’t say the whole sentence… I will say a lot of what you want to say. Otherwise I can listen to you, I do that too, it doesn’t bother me“, reacted Petros Tatsopoulos, addressing Akis Pavlopoulos.
“I’m withdrawing,” said the host apologetically, giving the floor to the guest again.
“And heterosexuals commit crimes and homosexuals commit crimes. What we need to do is for everyone to have the same fundamental rights. And since I am also adopted, we should put stricter conditions on this, because in Greece we now “buy” the childrenPetros Tatsopoulos pointed out immediately afterwards.
