Preceded the wreath laying at the unknown soldier’s monument
Great is in progress parade In Athens, for the national anniversary of March 25th. The student youth today honors the liberation struggle, in the presence of the Minister of Education, Religions and Sports Sofia Zacharakis, Parliament Speaker Nikita Kaklamanis, the Mayor of Athens Haris Doukas and other officials.
The parade was opened by the Kalavryta General High School with traditional costumes and the banner of the revolution, under the sounds of the Athens Philharmonic.
Prior to the start of the parade a wreath was laid at the monument of the unknown soldier.
It is noted that it was decided temporary and gradual interruption of vehicles from 10:00 until the end of the events, as well as a ban on their parking lot, from 06:00 until the end of the parade on the lower avenues and roads as follows:
- Vas. Amalia Avenue, along its entire length in both (2) traffic streams, as well as its vertical to the first parallel road.
- Vas. Sofia Avenue, in the section between Sekeri Street and Vas. Amalia Avenue, on the traffic to Pl. Constitution.
- Vas. Georgiou I, all along.
- El. Venizelos (University), all along and perpendicular to the first parallel road.
- Vas. Olga, all along both (2) traffic streams.
- Syngrou Avenue, in the section between Ath. Constitution.
In addition, ELAS notes that on Tuesday 25-3-2025 student parades will be held in Municipalities of Attica in which traffic will take the necessary traffic measures.
ELAS appeals to drivers for their better service and avoiding additional traffic problems, to avoid passing and parking their vehicles on the above roads and avenues at the time reported and to follow the signals and suggestions of the regulators.
