“There’s no need to satirize anything at a celebration to welcome the new year”
His arrows against her Natassas Bofiliou and her choice to sing at the New Year event at the Syntagma wearing a Palestinian headscarf, the Ares Portosalte.
The SKAI journalist expressed his strong dissatisfaction with the images that took place in the time change.
“In a global celebration, which marks something that concerns us all, there is no need for events with meanings, underlines and symbols. There is no need to satirize anything in a New Year celebration. If there are individual events, of course they should be”, Aris Portosalte initially said on the show “Today” on Friday morning (3/1).
“We are not here to say who will hold an event. However, this was not the time, the script was wrong,” emphasized the SKAI journalist.
“You are not Savvopoulos. If you can’t do it, let the wish take it. Sing your songs, sing your little songs. No symbols are needed, this bothered PASOK itself. It is a general celebration for artists to come and sing their songs. Palestinian headscarves are not needed either,” Aris Portosalte added in his comment.
“If the Municipality of Athens wants to hold a celebration for the Palestinians, let it do so. But let’s say from the beginning that it is a celebration for the Palestinians and whoever wants to come and wave as many flags as they want”, said Aris Portosalte.
