The Federation also reported a tutorial teacher for extremely abusive and sexist speech
A Sworn Administrative Examination is being conducted by the Director of Secondary Education in Piraeus, Mr. Anastasopoulos, following a request from the Federation of Private Educational Officers of Greece (OIELE) for alleged abuse of female students by a private school teacher in southern Attica.
The president of OIELE, Giorgos Christopoulos, testified today and handed over all the information that came to the knowledge of the Federation after complaints from parents and teachers. The complaints concern a private school in southern Attica, in which, according to what parents and employees reported to the Federation, a teacher was beating his female students and threatening to reduce their grade, those who protested his behavior.
After these complaints, the teacher was allegedly removed from the school, however the complainants informed OIELE that the removal was virtual and that the teacher in question will continue to be at the school from another position.
Complaint also for a tutorial teacher
“For the second case concerning a tutor, who has leaked videos and photos of his students on social media using extremely abusive and sexist language, we are still awaiting the relevant actions of the competent Directorate” says the OIELE statement.
He characteristically emphasizes: “We will repeat that the Federation considers as its primary concern the protection of children’s rights and their safety in the educational process. Anyone who threatens the mental, emotional and physical health of our students has no place in education. We promise that we will always do everything possible within the institutional limits, so that these people are faced with their disciplinary and criminal responsibilities”.
