“People still wonder why they got involved in politics, especially with Samaras”
At midnight on Thursday (17/10) he was a guest on Ina Tarantou’s show Renos Charalambidis. The well-known actor and director opened his papers about his long artistic career, while also referring to the period of his involvement in politics.
“Many people ask me why I took so many years to make a film, and the answer is very simple: I had nothing to say. I experienced the storm of the country very strongly with the crisis, then the corona virus, my personal impasses, I made my parents old and Greece also went through adventures”, Renos Charalambidis said initially.
“I got involved in crisis fights and I don’t regret it, because I still believe I did it for the greater good. It was a difficult time, with great violence and a little unfair”the actor points out.
“And it cost me and it continues to cost me. People still wonder why they got involved in politics, especially with Samaras and the answer is the same: because I wanted Golden Dawn to go to prison, I wanted to prevent the extreme right of Kamenos from entering the government and finally I wanted the minor Left of DIM.AR to finally enter a government”, he answers a related question Renos Charalambidis.
“Now I experience the appreciation of people who then doubted me. There is a monopoly on sensitivity. To be sensitive, you have to be a Leftist. I don’t know, is anyone who is not a Leftist a bad person?”, asked Renos Charalambidis, closing the issue.
