The fines provided for those who did not pay the price, as no extension of the deadline was given
Traffic taxes were paid on time for 88% of the vehicles, according to a relevant announcement from the AADE.
As stated, “the deadline for paying vehicle registration fees for 2025 expired on December 31, 2024, and from the total of 6.7 million vehicles, registration fees were paid on time for 5.9 million. That is, 88%”. That percentage is on par with the end of 2024, with 90% having paid on time, but with last year’s deadline extended to March 4.
Please note that the late payment penalty is:
• 25% of the amount of traffic fees, if the payment is made by 31/1/2025,
• 50% of the amount of traffic fees, if the repayment is made within February 2025;
• equal amount of traffic fees, in case of:
– payable from 1/3/2025 onwards or
– partial payment or non-payment of the Traffic Fees for the year 2025.
