The two-time Oscar-winning actor welcomed his seventh child at the age of 79
Actor Robert De Niro spoke proudly of his daughter in a new interview, calling it “wonderful” being a father in his 80s.
The two-time Oscar-winning actor last May said he welcomed his seventh child at the age of 79.
THE De Niro, who this week received another Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination for Martin Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon” and his partner Tiffany Chen have named their daughter Gia, according to media reports.
“Everything that I’m preoccupied with or worried about or both just goes away when I look at her. So that in itself is wonderful,” said a visibly moved De Niro in an interview with AARP: The Magazine, which is aimed at the over-50 age group in the US, according to APE.
“She has a very sweet way of looking at you and understanding you… So I don’t know how this is going to go with her later when she’s older, but she thinks and notices everything and watches. It’s really interesting. So, you know, I’m an 80-year-old dad and it’s great and I want to be around as long as I can to enjoy it.”
