Turks glorified the quality but also the lowest prices in tourist services offered by the island of Pythagoras
The strong preference of Turkish travelers to the Greek islands and especially to Samo highlighted in a related article Focus.de.
According to a survey by Germany’s popular news site, tens of thousands of tourists from Turkey preferred the Greek islands to domestic destinations after the visa-express was implemented, and especially women from Turkey who visited the island of Pythagoras made sure to showcase Samos in every opportunity after their trip, extolling the quality but also the lowest prices in tourist services.
The website also published an extensive tribute to Samos as the most favorite destination of Turkish vacationers Haberekspres which mentions among other things that “the island is easily accessible by boat and fascinates both with its historical and natural beauties. Olive trees, pine forests and vineyards “adorn” the island from all sides. This lush green vegetation that meets the deep blue waters of the Aegean is a paradise for nature lovers and those looking for tranquility.
Karlovasi attracts attention with its paths intertwined with greenery, history and local wines. The hiking trails are suitable for both amateur hikers and more experienced athletes. For nature lovers, Kerkis is highly recommended for its wonderful view and unique beauty.”
It is noted that the Municipality of West Samos is investigating actions in cooperation with tourist agencies for greater penetration in the Turkish market, while for this season it contributed to the creation of the Sigasik – Karlovasi connection. “We are expanding the range of possibilities of Western Samos that fits the profile of the needs of the Turkish traveler who is looking for relaxation and fun but also rejuvenation through activities and education through getting to know our history and culture. This year the tourist flow from Turkey significantly increased giving “stimulating injections” to the local market from the beginning of the season”explains the Deputy Mayor of Tourism of the Municipality of West Samos, Evangelos Marnezos.
