Who are the beneficiaries?
The new cycle for the program starts today, Wednesday (07/02). “I’m saving up». Beneficiaries can submit applications at the electronic address “exoikonomo2023.gov.gr”, until Friday 29/3.
The residence eligible for the program must:
- It exists legally
- It has not been deemed demolishable
- It is used as a main residence
- It is classified according to the 1st PEA in a category below or equal to C.
Subsidy rates and criteria
To receive the subsidy, one must have:
- Individual Income: ≤5,000 euros
- Family Income: ≤10,000 euros
And the grant rate can reach:
- Ownership by applicant: 75%
- Free transfer/rental: 65%
Eligible interventions concern:
- Replacement of frames
- Installing/upgrading thermal insulation
- Heating/cooling system upgrade
- Domestic hot water system using RES
- Installation of a smart management system (smart home)
Example of beneficiary
Energy efficient apartment 70 sq.m. is upgraded from “H” class to “C” (frames, solar, gas boiler):
- At a cost of 12,700 euros
- 75% subsidy -> 9,525 euros
- Equity 25% -> 3,175 euros
Payback in 2.5 years and 65% energy savings.
