Reports of policeman firing gun – Tried to evade control in Aliarto
The wild pursuit of a suspicious car at midnight on Saturday in Leontari had a shocking end Boeotiawith the death of a young Roma. The pursued car was moving at breakneck speed in Aliarto, wanting to avoid the control of the police officers who had signaled it to stop.
In accordance with lamiareport, a wild chase followed, as the vehicle was moving dangerously in residential and non-residential areas, in which strong police forces were involved. The suspect vehicle was finally trapped in a dead end in Leontari, by an OPKE crew.
When the police officers tried to check the passengers, they were allegedly attacked by the passengers, with one of them trying to wrest a gun from the police officers which he fired. The bullet found the suspect who unfortunately fell dead.
Strong police forces, as well as an EKAV ambulance, quickly arrived at the scene, but it was already too late for the young man.
According to APE BEE, his body was taken to the hospital of Thebes while the case is being thoroughly investigated by the Security Department of Thebes
The leadership of ELAS was immediately informed and further investigation is expected to verify all the elements that made up this bloody incident.
