Another incident of domestic violence came to light, this time in Alexandroupolis, where a 50-year-old woman reported her partner for beatings and threats, as a result of which the perpetrator was arrested and brought to justice.
The new incident of domestic violence occurred on Monday afternoon on Psaron Street. The victim reported to the officers of the Alexandroupolis Police Department, that while they were at their home, an incident occurred between them due to personal differences. Initially, her 57-year-old partner verbally assaulted her and then hit her with fists and cuffs, repeatedly in the face and body. The situation got out of hand, when the attacker grabbed her by the neck, opened the window, pushed her and while half of her body was hanging out of the window, he continued to press her head, threaten her and curse her with derogatory terms.
Police officers took the woman to Alexandroupolis hospital, where she underwent the necessary medical tests and remained for hospitalization and medical monitoring. The accused was taken to the Prosecutor of Alexandroupolis.
