“For hours I wonder if he has this logic in his mind”
Against Giorgos Liagas regarding the positions he has made from time to time about overweight people, he turned on Sunday (26/11) the Sissy Christidou. The reason was the tension that recently arose in the panel of the morning show of ANT1 on the occasion of this issue, with the presenter talking about obscene populism.
“I can’t understand… I really spend hours and hours wondering if George has this logic in his mind, if this is how his thinking works or if he tries to support such arguments. I am very impressed that he persists in this way, at times mocking politically correctness by saying: of course it wasn’t politically correct then”, said Sissy Christidou initially.
“But that’s the problem. In the past, children were also beaten at school, there was a lot that doesn’t happen anymore. What does this mean; This is evolution, empathy, and this thing cannot be called love. In other words, does anyone believe that a person who is overweight to a pathological degree, who is obese, does not know it? Is he waiting for someone else to come and tell him with… love?’ he reported.
“The only thing you can do in this case is to show him total acceptance and help him find the strength to stand on his own two feet and do the best for himself. You are protecting the other person you have in front of you, who gives you the right to hurt him?” said Sissy Christidou right after.
“We’ve all been called fat at times, I don’t put myself out there. It’s all about who you have in front of you. Let’s say, I never cared about the extra pounds, whether they said something negative to me, or something playful. But not all people are the same”, commented Pavlos Stamatopoulos for his part.
“Is this love?”
“Guys, is it possible to come out and state that an obese person can get something and then say: ah didn’t it happen to him? Doesn’t man know that? Is this love?
Has anyone asked a person who has suddenly lost weight, if there is depression, sadness, pain behind? Has anyone wondered about this? No. So this is not considered a health issue and it is not considered love. Let’s leave people alone. We’re talking about the phenomenon in general, it’s not just George,” Sissy Christidou pointed out afterwards.
“It’s ironic that we didn’t have political correctness back then… But that’s the point, the evolution! Is evolution hypocritical? No. Possibly for those who don’t want to evolve. This coverage is not enough, to say that because I receive such comments I can go out and say whatever I want. I’m sorry” Sissy Christidou said closing her post, switching to advertising messages.
