“This isn’t California, it’s a political act to get personal”
The vulgar attack of the mayor of Volos, Achillea Beu, to the president of SYRIZA, Stefanos Kasselakis and the latter’s reaction was commented on by the actress Sofia Moutidou with a video she posted on Instagram.
In the clip, which is addressed to Mr. Kasselakis, Sofia Moutidou calls on him not to remain inactive and to rest with the ex officio prosecutor’s intervention that will examine the issue, but that he also take legal action against Mr. Beu.
“Mr. Kasselakis, I’d like to give you a friendly no-money-for-nothing advice, I don’t know if your marketing team has told you this, but withdrawing from a personal lawsuit against Mr. Beu and leaving the prosecution ex officio is not political act. A political act is to engage personally. Yes. I don’t know, my mind goes a little to the fact that you may also have a benefit from all that happened, but leave it aside, because we are in Greece now, these are only waters here, the Greek, we have no relation to California… Here we let’s say we will be very satisfied if you personally deal with it and do not leave the prosecutor’s office alone. Now it will be a political act».
Adding a touch of humor, Sofia Moutidou, who initially told him that this advice was free, said: “You know, this advice costs a lot of euros. If you want, I’ll give you my IBAN and you can send me the money.”
“You have a lot of political weight right now”
Then he picked up where he left off: “You have to act personally, don’t forget that Mr. Beu’s statement is not just about you, it’s about every man who wants to be a father, every man who has a different sexual preference than Mr. Beu – at least the obvious one – so as you understand you have a lot of political weight currently. You carry a lot of people on your back. Now you get them. If you turn in person. If you leave it as it is, so much Americanism and Sweden… no no it has no place over here… don’t do any more marketing nonsense.”
