Where it can be useful in this area
The Permanent Scientific Committee met today at the Ministry of Justice, which was reconstituted by decision of Minister of Justice Giorgos Floridis, with the sole purpose of examining the effects on the judicial system of the introduction of artificial intelligence.
During the meeting of the Committee, under its chairman, Vice-Chairman of the Council of State Konstantinos Kousoulis, the following were presented and discussed:
– The actions of the Ministry of Justice regarding the use of applications artificial intelligence,
– Artificial intelligence applications at the Court of First Instance of Athens for the provision of electronic court decisions to lawyers,
– The pilot system for generating document summaries and deleting personal data and
– The digital assistants for support in the drafting of court documents, including court decisions, to search for information in the form of questions and answers through the Greek legislation on Justice and to provide instructions to citizens and lawyers regarding electronic and offline services of the Greek Justice.
At the same time, there was an update regarding the Cyber-Justice conference, organized by the Council of Europe on November 24, 2023, as well as an update on applications of artificial intelligence both in the drafting of summaries of judicial decisions and in the anonymization/pseudonymization of judicial decisions.
