Details of what is happening in all regions
In 28 of its municipalities Attica takes place tomorrow Round 2 of municipal electionsamong them the Municipality of Athens, while 25 municipalities of Attica already have a mayor from the First Round.
In addition to Athens, the municipalities of Agia Paraskevi, Agios Dimitrios, Egaleo, Aspropyrgos, Byron, Dafni-Ymittos, Dionysos, Elefsina, Zografou, Ilioupoli, Heraklion, Ilio, Kaisariani, Lykovrysi-Pefki, Megareo, Nea Ionia also have a repeat election process. , Nea Smyrni, Nea Philadelphia-Nea Chalkidona, Paenia, Papagou-Cholargou, Penteli, Petroupoli, Rafina-Pikermio, Saronikou, Filothei-Psychikou, Chaidariou and Chalandiou.
Of the other 25 municipalities, where the process was completed last Sunday, in 20 the same mayors were re-elected. From there on, in 21 municipalities the current mayors claim their re-election in the Second Round, in 7 municipalities they were left out of the Second Round, while in 5 municipalities they did not claim a new re-election and are leaving.
In 12 municipalities of Attica there is already a change in the municipal authority, either because a new mayor was elected from the First Round, or because the current mayor failed to pass the Second Round. These are the municipalities of Agia Paraskevi, Aspropyrgos, Vrilissi, Byron, Kallithea, Kifisia, Lykovrysi-Pefki, Mandra-Idyllia, Megareo, Nea Smyrni, Pallini and Saroniko.
Of the mayors running for election tomorrow, 11 are women. In fact, in the municipality of Penteli, both of the second round are women. The three who are mayors, Maria Androutsou in Agios Dimitrios, Despina Thomaidou in Nea Ionia and Dimitra Kehagia in Penteli, are claiming their re-election.
In the First Round, the highest percentage was recorded by the mayor of Glyfada, Giorgos Papanikolaou, with 83.75%, while the mayor of Fylis, Christos Pappous, also exceeded 80% with 80.55%. Five other mayors exceeded 70%, Andreas Pachaturidis in Peristeri with 77.98%, who is re-elected for the 6th consecutive time, Yiannis Konstantatos in Elliniko-Argyroupoli with 72.94%, Giorgos Markopoulos in Galatsi with 72.69 %, Grigoris Konstandellos in Vari-Voula-Vouliagmeni with 71.57% and Spyros Vrettos in Acharnes with 70.75%.
Of the candidates participating in the Second Round, the lowest percentage went to Haris Doukas in Athens with 14.19% and Dimitris Oikonomou in Papagou-Cholargos with 15.31%.
Regarding the participation of the 1st Round, the highest was recorded in the municipality of Oropos with 66.00%. The municipalities of Aspropyrgos (65.80%), Mandra-Idyllia (63.40%), Megareon (62.86%), Lavreotiki (62.79%), Paania (61.79%) also exceeded 60% in participation. , Rafina-Pikermiou (61.09%) and Dionysos (60.32%). It is noteworthy that all these municipalities are outside the basin.
The smallest participation in the First Round was the municipality of Athens with 32.32% and the municipality of Moschato-Tavros with 39.12%. All other municipalities had participation above 40%.

In the First Round, the highest percentage was registered by the mayor of Piraeus, Yiannis Moralis, with 69.89%, while the mayor of Korydallos, Nikos Hoursalas, also exceeded 60% with 60.58%.
Regarding participation, the municipality of Perama had the highest with 48.95% and the municipality of Piraeus the lowest with 35.39%. Below 40% was also in the municipality of Nikaia-Agios Ioannis Rentis with 35.76%.
