Stock prices moved higher in the first session of 2025 at Stock exchangewith the market exceeding the levels of 1,480 units, with limited turnover.
The shares of Viohalco, Elvalhalcor and Ellactor outperformed from the high capitalization.
The General Price Index closed at 1,480.98 points, marking an increase of 0.77%.
The value of transactions amounted to 79.44 million. euros, while 18,339,831 shares were traded.
The large-cap index gained 0.89%, while the mid-cap index gained 1.85%.
Of the large-cap stocks, the biggest rise was recorded by the shares of Elvalhalcor (+6.25%), Viohalco (+6.07%), Ellactor (+4.93%) and Motor Oil (+2, 71%).
On the contrary, the largest decline was recorded by the shares of Optima (-1.55%), Lamda (-1.23%), OTE (-1.08%) and Titan (-1.00%).
The largest volume of transactions was presented by Piraeus and Eurobank, trading 3,154,602 and 2,385,102 shares, respectively.
Piraeus recorded the highest transaction value with 12.34 million. euros and the National with 9.35 million euro.
72 stocks moved up, 28 fell and 22 remained stable.
The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: ‘Avax +8.53% and Iktinos +7.76%.
The biggest drop was recorded by the shares: Chaidemenos -8.66% and Akritas -4.73%.
