Great loss for his family Mars of Thessalonikias the legendary footballer of the team, Alekos Alexiadis, died.
Alexiadis left his last breath today, a few months before he reached 80 years of life, having been suffering from several health issues in recent years.
The deceased was one of the greatest players in Mars history. He first competed in the 1961-1962 season and did not stop finding nets with his favorite team.
He wore the yellow -black jersey in 301 championship matches, scoring 127 goals, making him a second scorer of the team over time, behind Dinos Koui.
He competed in Mars from 1963 to 1975, winning the Greek Cup in 1970. He also competed in Panetoliko and Kastoria, scoring another 5 goals, reaching a total of 132 in the National, which puts him in 19th in the top scorers of the First National.
The veteran striker has never scored with a penalty, he only executed one and missed on December 26, 1967, at 3-3 National-Aris, when no one went to execute.

He played with National Greece two times in total, scoring equal goals. His debut was made on October 16, 1966 at the Nikephoros home match against Finland (2-1), which took place at the Kaftanzoglio Stadium, as part of the 1968 Cup qualifiers, when Panos Markovic’s instructions began as a basic and launched. He made another appearance with National in March 1967.
