In a statement, the highest prosecutor official expresses her indignation at the attempt by a part of the press to connect or associate the disappearance with the tragedy of Tempe
On the occasion of the disappearance of 39-year-old Vassilis Kalogirou, son of the Prosecutor of Appeals of Larisa, the prosecutor of the Supreme Court, Georgia Adelini, in her statement points out that “a painful human incident, the presentation and commentary of which, from a news perspective, are not offered for any form of exploitation, under the pretext of information”.
Also, Ms. Adelini expresses our sadness and indignation, for the attempt of a part of the press to connect or relate, in any way, this incident, with the exercise of the prosecutor’s duties of the colleague and mother of the wanted person”. It is recalled that Vassilis Kalogirou disappeared on December 30, 2024, while he was in Larissa for the Christmas holidays and he is the son of the Larissa Appeals Prosecutor who is handling the Tempi case.

“The fact of the disappearance under unclear circumstances of the son of a fellow Prosecutor of Appeals is a painful human incident, the presentation and commentary of which, from a news perspective, do not lend themselves to any form of exploitation, under the guise of information. We express our sadness and indignation at the attempt by a section of the press to connect or associate, in any way, this incident with the exercise of the prosecutorial duties of the colleague and mother of the wanted person”.
